Welcome to San Diego, Hasham family! Mom and Dad have two little ones; one 2 year old daughter and one 4 year old son. The Hashams recently arrived from Afghanistan, where Dad was a legal advisor for the US State Department. Mom is staying home with her little ones and also taking an English class in her new community. Their little boy, Danial, recently learned how to ride a bike and really enjoys it! The family is in critical need of bedding and beds, and is very appreciative for everyone who has helped them!
Introducing the Nikzad family! Mom and Dad have three children: two daughters, ages 8 and 3, and one son, 12. They recently arrived from Afghanistan and resettled in California. Mom is currently taking an English class. Most of all, the family is excited about their future here and very grateful for the opportunities they have had. This family is also in critical need of beds and bedding as they settle into their new home.
Introducing the Zarifi family! Mom and Dad have two little girls ages 4 and 6, and one little boy who is 9 years old. The Zarifis recently arrived from Afghanistan, and resettled in the East Bay of California. Dad was an engineer and Mom was a judge (one of 270 in Afghanistan before 2021!). Now Mom is taking an English class and the family is excited about their future here! This family is in critical need of beds and bedding as they settle into their new home.
Introducing the Noori family! Mom and Dad have three little boys, ages 10, 6, and 2. They recently arrived from Afghanistan and resettled in Sacramento, California. Dad is proud to have worked with the United Nations as an IT specialist before coming to the US. The whole family is very excited about their future here and the opportunity that it holds. Mom has already started taking English classes in her community and is enjoying learning and making new friends. This family is also in critical need of beds and bedding as they settle into their new home.
Welcome to California, Said family! Mom and Dad recently arrived from Afghanistan with their 4 year old daughter and 1 year old son. Mom was a library supervisor in Afghanistan and is looking forward to her children being able to go to school in the US. As they settle into their new community in the Sacramento area, their biggest need is for warm beds and bedding as the nights get colder. Thank you for helping!
Welcome to the Bay Area, Alizada family! Mom and her adult daughter recently arrived from Afghanistan and are happy to have been able to resettle together. Ms. Alizada was a student in Afghanistan and is looking forward to continuing her education here. She has already begun an English class in her new community. Ms. Alizada says that her hero is her mother, and she is so thankful for all who are able to help them settle into their new home together.
Meet the Alizadah family! Mom & Dad have two sweet little boys, ages 5 years and 5 months. They recently arrived from Afghanistan, and resettled in Concord, California. Mom was a dentist in Afghanistan, and Dad was a reporter for the news. Dad is now taking English class, while Mom is taking some time off to bond with her new baby boy. Mom says that a special talent of hers is making connections and establishing relationships in her communities, and she is looking foward to doing that here in her new home.
Meet the Majidi family! Mom and Dad recently arrived from Afghanistan with their nine children, ages 2 to 18 (including a set of twins!). Dad was a psychiatrist in Afghanistan and Mom stayed home with the kids. They are all starting to settle into their new community in Virginia, and Mom has already started taking English classes with her local social services organization. The family is especially in need of bedding so all of the kids can get a good night's sleep as the school season begins.
Introducing the Faizi family! Mom and Dad have one daughter, who will celebrate her 8th birthday this November. The Faizis recently arrived from Afghanistan and resettled in Virginia, where their daughter was able to begin school again. Dad would also like to begin studies here in the US, with an eventual goal of becoming an electrical engineer. Most of all, the family is excited about their future here and very grateful for the opportunties they have had. This family is also in critical need of beds and bedding as they settle into their new home.
Welcome to Anaheim, Barakzai family! Mom and Dad recently arrived from Afghanistan with their 3 year old son and 10 and 6 year old daughters. 10 year old Sara is excited about her new home and is looking forward to doing her favorite activities there like painting and eating pizza! She wants to be a dentist someday, but for now she is hoping for a comfortable bed in her new room so she can get a good night's sleep and study hard at school.
Meet the Mohammadi family! Mom and Dad recently arrived from Afghanistan with their 12 and 5 year old sons, and resettled in Northern California. 5 year old Ehsan and 12 year old Amir love to be outside riding bicycles and playing soccer, and Amir has already started school. They are both really hoping for comfortable beds for their new room, as well as a desk and chair for Amir to have a quiet study space.
Meet the Aman family! Mom and Dad recently arrived from Afghanistan and resettled in Sacramento with their 3 kids, ages 4-7. Their 6 year old, Muhammad, wants to be a doctor when he grows up so he can help all human beings. His parents say that he is very shy but that he loves to be with his family, who make his heart sing. He and his siblings are all really hoping for bicycles so they can get outside and play with their new friends, and for a dining table to eat family meals together.
Welcome to Sacramento, Rahimi family! Mom and Dad have 2 girls, ages 6 and 2. They recently arrived from Afghanistan, where Dad worked as a procurement officer in a US construction company, and Mom stayed home with the girls. Dad prides himself on being a very honest person, and dreams that he could own his own restaurant some day. Most of all, he dreams of a better future for his family, and is grateful for the support they have gotten from their new neighbors in the US.
Meet the Masah family! Mom & Dad recently arrived from Afghanistan and resettled near Sacramento, California with their 7 year old daughter and 3 little boys ages 6, 3, and 9 months. Dad worked in passport control at an international airport and is excited to begin taking English classes here in the US alongside his wife. He hopes to recieve a laptop so he can begin looking for new job opportunities in his new community, and the whole family is in need of bedding as they settle into their new home.
Welcome to Virginia, Hatam family! Mom and Dad have a big family, with 6 kids ages 1 to 14. They recently arrived from Afghanistan, where Dad worked as a Civil Engineer, and enjoyed studying mathmathics. Mom is looking forward to her English lessons as the kids head back to school in their new community, and also is hoping to recieve a sewing machine so she can sew clothing for her family and continue her traditional crafting. The kids also have hopes of recieving bicycles so they can get outside and play with their new friends in the neighborhood!
Meet the Mosawi family! Mom and Dad have 2 boys, ages 3 and 5 months. They recently arrived from Afghanistan, and resettled in California. Mom has a dream of going to school for nursing here in the US, and is going to begin English lessons soon to take the first steps on that path. She loves to study biology and is passionate about her education. Their family is really in need of bedding and kitchen items as they settle into their new home, especially a crib for their little one.
Welcome to Virginia, Abid family! Mom, Dad, and their 5 children just arrived from Afghanistan and resettled in the Alexandria area. They have 4 boys who range in age from 3 to 12, ans one little girl who just celebrated her first birthday! Mom worked as a nutrition counselor back home, so being able to cook fresh, nutritious food for her family is very important to her. The kids also have hopes of recieving bicycles so they can get outside and play with their new friends in the neighborhood, and use them to get to school in the morning as well.

They recently arrived from Afghanistan, where Dad worked as a project manager and Mom stayed home with the kids. Meet the Kakar family! Mom and Dad recently arrived from Afghanistan with their 4 children, ages 2-17, and resettled in Southern California. Dad worked as a architect in his home town, and says his favorite subject in school was geometry. Dad is currently taking a English class at their local community college, and Mom is looking forward to beginning an online English class soon.
