2019 WORLD REFUGEE DAY AWARDS
"You're not only helping out with the needed and crucial stuff...but also in shaping the model that I promised my family when we had to take our big move. The things that I wanted them to follow and to live within...such a generous and giving community."
– Ahmed Abedy, new arrival dad of 4, program recipient from Iraq
Over 68 million people worldwide have been forced to flee their homes due to violence or persecution. Each year on June 20th, World Refugee Day honors those who are and have experienced migration and resettlement. On the evening before World Refugee Day, we will gather at The Jane Club to celebrate our beloved families and honor people who have been transformative in their impact for newcomers in America.
