Miry's List is bringing awareness and support towards the vital need for community-based programming to welcome, integrate, and support resettling refugee families in those difficult first months so they can thrive in our communities. The evening brings together the Miry's List community to indulge in an elaborate Afghan dinner by new arrival chef, Aqila Asghary. Dinner will be followed by dessert and tea service. Register Here!

Join Miry’s List at the Los Angeles Homelessness Resource Fair in Grand Park to meet organizations creating change for homeless Angelenos. And stop by the Welcome, Neighbor booth to say hello and learn about our program for activating Angelenos around helping their resettling neighbors.
Come to the Skirball for a Passover-themed evening in partnership with the nonprofit Miry’s List and explore the themes of freedom and redemption through food and storytelling.
Rabbi Sarah Bassin (Temple Emanuel of Beverly Hills) will begin by relating the Jewish value of welcoming the stranger to both the Passover story and the experience of refugees today. Then, enjoy wine and an elaborate Syrian dinner infused with the symbols of Passover and prepared by a family who recently resettled in LA. Finally, listen as Evan Kleiman (KCRW’s Good Food) moderates a discussion with the chefs about their arrival stories.
